PURPOSE:  The Fun, Fit and Over Fifty Club (FFOFC) is a group of aging, but not aged, folks who enjoy the fun of being outdoors and being active.  This provides companionship and exercise to prevent us from becoming sedentary as we grow older.  We organize outings and events which fit our interest and activity levels to facilitate these goals.  Most of the events are during the week where crowds are minimal and costs are lower, however there is increasing demand to schedule some events on the weekends to accomodate those members who have not yet retired.

MEMBERSHIP:   The FFOFC is a recently formed non profit corporation which received its Articles of Incorporation on November 20, 2003.  We are soliciting new members. To obtain a Membership Application and our most recent Newsletter or information click on the E-Mail button on the right or contact any of the Officers listed below, or just download and print out a copy, (see the Home page).  Membership costs $35 per couple or $20 per individual per year.  All dues are renewable on Jan. 1.  If you join after September 30 your dues will apply to the following year.  Our membership fees are very low because we depend on volunteers to manage the Club and lead events.  If you join, sometimes you will be requested to contribute a little time and/or your skills.

501(c)(3) ORGANIZATION:   FFOFC has applied to the IRS for tax exempt status and has been notified that as of November 17, 2004 the club qualifies as an Exempt Organization.  Contributions to FFOFC are deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

STANDING COMMITTEES:   We use Standing Committees to plan, schedule and lead our events.  These committees are:

ACTIVITIES:   The activities offered by the Club are many and varied.  They are only limited by our member's interest and involvement.  During the past year, before incorporating we offered hiking, canoeing/kayaking, road biking, alpine skiing and x.country skiing.  We plan to offer more in quantity and variety in the future.

MEETINGS;

Standing Committee Meetings:

Will be announced as they are scheduled

Board of Director's:  2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 PM in the George Grant Construction office at the corner of Gillespie and Railroad Drive in Richland. Thanks to Don Hogaboam for arranging it.  All members welcome.
