Some would call a foggy and drizzly day “depressing” but 15 FFOFC hikers would call it FUN…with laughter, camaraderie and adventure.  Yes, we encountered adventure as we ducked branches and climbed over logs and limbs to reach our ultimate goal – the spit at the end of Paterson Unit of the Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge.  Our “guide” was an abandoned dog who befriended our group…..
